The Mark Wollery Gallery in Portland is currently showing collections from Trish Grantham, Evan Harris & Amy Ruppel. But it is also showing a collection of collaborations by Evan Harris and Amy Ruppel. I absolutely adore Ruppel, and these pieces are enchanting. Now all I need is around $900, or just a really nice laser printer...
Evan B. Harris & Amy Ruppel collaborated on these subtle encaustic works, with Ruppel rendering naturalistic animal portraits and Harris bedecking them with elegant incised patterning.
Both accomplished artists in their own right, Harris & Ruppel have shared a friendship and Portland studio space for years; this show represents their first time making work together.
